So what makes a great reading area? Firstly, you'll need a spot with a nice amount of natural light, with minimal opportunity for glare, or a spot with your own reading lamp close-by. Make sure your space is not exposed to much external noise as sudden or consistent noises can be a real distraction when trying to get lost in a story.

It is also important to give yourself enough room to move around. If you're sitting in the same position too long, your body can become stiff and uncomfortable. Try and find a reading space that lets you move around and change positions depending on how you feel. It's amazing how distracting an uncomfortable sitting position can be.
